MSSA–Military Spouse is a 17-week curriculum we’ve designed to train military spouses for technical program and project management in global, portable IT roles.

We’ve developed MSSA curriculum to support military spouses with technical and professional skills targeted to portable IT roles in MSSA’s newest learning path—Technical Program Management (TPM).

Skills-driven curriculum

MSSA’s new learning path offers live virtual instruction on technical skills and management methodologies that support military spouses in securing remote employment as a TPM.

Beginner-friendly, IT-approved

Our 17-week program covers topics including program management methodologies, core data analytics, analytics using Python programming, Azure fundamentals, and Azure AI.

Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Office hours (optional): 8:00 AM–9:00 AM and 3:00 PM–4:00 PM

Build upon your superior communication and risk management skills as a military spouse, and learn skills to be a technical program manager who leads complex, cross-functional projects that involve technology, engineering, and business stakeholders

After 17 weeks participants are equipped with operational and technical knowledge to be successful as a TPM, and have the opportunity to interview with MSSA’s network of Microsoft Partner companies.

Participants gain 147 hours of expert coaching and mentorship focused on enhancing your professional portfolio. Our professional development curriculum covers essential career skills, from crafting impactful resumes to translating non-traditional skills into the language of business.

Specialized mentorship

A dedicated team of Career Development Managers and Microsoft mentors offer robust support and provide valuable guidance and assistance to participants throughout their journey.

MSSA hiring apparatus

Our hiring partner network comprises more than 1,000 Microsoft partners who actively participate in hiring fairs and other events, specifically to connect with jobseeking MSSA participants.

We’ve developed a LinkedIn Learning Path to introduce topics covered in the MSSA–Military Spouse TPM learning path. This learning path serves as a prerequisite for the MSSA–Military Spouse program, equipping participants with foundational knowledge to be successful in their MSSA training.

Technical Program Management

This LinkedIn Learning Path covers fundamental concepts in programming, DevOps tools and practices for efficient software development and deployment, and data analysis. It can be completed in approximately 20 hours, excluding time spent on note-taking or review. Access by clicking the ‘Technical Program Management’ heading above.

Access LinkedIn Premium

To access the TPM LinkedIn Learning Path and other LinkedIn Learning resources, you will need a LinkedIn Premium subscription. LinkedIn Learning offers a variety of courses and certifications in technical and business topics, and is accessible to anyone who has a premium subscription to LinkedIn. Eligible members of the military community can access LinkedIn Premium for free for a year by using the provided link.
