Microsoft Software and Systems Academy transitions to virtual instruction during COVID-19 outbreak

Microsoft is committed to the safety and health of our Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA) students, staff members, partners, and community. We moved all MSSA program training to virtual instruction in late March. We continue to monitor the science and guidance surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic to determine what, if any, shifts to make to our programs. Our model during COVID-19 is that any cohort that begins virtually will remain virtual until the completion of the program.

The decision to move MSSA to virtual instruction was necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by eliminating in-person gatherings. We will continue to provide MSSA training to transitioning service members while helping protect the health of our students, staff members, partners and communities. We are grateful for the support of our base partners, whom we consulted with early and often, in trusting us and facilitating this swift transition for their service members to our virtual instruction program.

Our commitment to service members by providing effective training through MSSA remains unchanged, and we will continue to recruit for and administer our programs during this challenging time. Now more than ever, Microsoft recognizes the value of helping the veteran and military community find meaningful opportunities in today’s digital economy.
